UX Product Engineer - iGaming
Malta
We are looking for a UX Product Engineer who thinks in user problems, not screens. This role sits within the Product team and goes far beyond just interface design. Design is a tool here, not the goal. The goal is to improve the real player experience of our client’s online sports and casino portfolio
We look for someone who bets on sports and plays casino games, and understands player behaviour from first-hand experience. Someone curious enough to question existing flows, analytical enough to validate ideas with data, and creative enough to turn insights into industry-leading user experiences.
Responsibilities
Identify, analyse, and solve UX and product experience problems across sports betting and casino platforms
Design and iterate user flows, interaction models, and interfaces using Figma as a delivery tool
Analyse real user behaviour using LogRocket
Review product data KPI’s to understand the impact of the interface
Translate insights into clear, testable UX improvements
Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Marketing to ensure ideas are technically feasible, commercially sound, and user-centric
Challenge existing conventions and avoid copy-paste solutions
Use AI tools to accelerate ideation, exploration, and validation of product concepts
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Visual Communication, or Marketing
Experience as a UX Designer or Product Designer within the iGaming industry with exposure to data
You actively use betting and casino products and understand player motivations
Strong instinct for commercial UX in the iGaming space
Curiosity and critical thinking matter more than years of experience
Ability to move from problem → insight → solution → execution
Comfortable working with data, user recordings, and behavioural signals
Understanding of regional user differences and local market nuances
Design skills strong enough to visualise the final solutions, not just present ideas
Excellent written and verbal communication in English – required
Proficiency in Figma – required
User behaviour and session analysis tools (LogRocket or similar)
Ability to interpret product and performance data
Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows (ideation, exploration, synthesis)
Strong knowledge of UX principles, usability heuristics, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing – required
Proficient in the usage of AI based tools
